The NCWSS 77th Annual Meeting is almost here and we’ve posted the program and draft proceedings for review.
Women in Weed Science Summer Event
For the past 8 years the ‘Women in Weed Science Networking Breakfast’ has been held at the annual NCWSS meeting. As interest in this network continues to grow, the new Women in Weed Science (WiWS) sub-committee would like to invite you to our first ever summer, virtual event on Thursday, August 11 at 2:00 pm EDT (1:00 pm CDT). Dr. Anita Dille, Professor of Weed Ecology at Kansas State University, past president of both NCWSS and WSSA, and founder of the WiWS breakfasts, will share her journey including work-life balance and reflections on what she wishes she knew earlier in her career and as a student. After Dr. Dille’s presentation there will be time for questions and discussion amongst attendees. Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender or membership to the society. Call for Symposia
The summer NCWSS Board of Directors meeting is coming up in July and we would like to have a robust slate of symposia to consider for our 74th Annual Meeting in Columbus this December 10-13. Please submit your symposia ideas by 8 July 2019
